Glendalough, the 6th Century monastic city, is 20 kilometres away across the scenic Wicklow Mountains and the famous Russborough House which houses the Beit Collection is just a 3 minute drive away. You will also find the Japanese Gardens, National Stud, Sally and Wicklow Gaps all within a short driving distance from Tulfarris Village.
Russborough House was built between 1741- 1750 by Joseph Leeson , the first Earl of Milltown. It is regarded as one of Ireland’s most beautiful houses and it also has magnificent views of the Blessington Lakes and the Wicklow mountains beyond.
If it’s shopping you’re after, Dublin City is only 37 kilometres down the road where you can shop till you drop! Alternatively, you can visit the local shops in Blessington Village or take a drive over to Naas town.
